Works by Sheila Fell regularly appear in the Modern British Auctions of the major London auction houses (Christie’s, Sotheby’s and Bonham’s). Her works also frequently appear for auction in Cumbria at Mitchell’s Antiques and Fine Art auctioneers and valuers, based in Cockermouth. Occasionally her work appears for auction through other provincial UK auction houses. A number of private galleries specialising in works by modern British artists include Sheila Fell in their oeuvre; the foremost among these is the Castlegate House Gallery in Cockermouth. Castlegate House Gallery has been at the forefront in promoting the work of Sheila Fell in recent times. It mounted a large and important selling exhibition of her work in 2005. More recently Steve and Christine Swallow, current owners of the gallery, held a large selling exhibition of her work in 2014; Castlegate typically has several works by Sheila Fell for sale. High quality images of the majority of Sheila Fell’s work are reproduced in a comprehensive catalogue raisonné of the artist by Andrew and Eleanor Bradley, published by Lund Humphries in 2025.
